Messaging

How to explain what ESProfiler is and does to external contacts, and who we want to be communicating with.

Clear and consistent messaging serves as a cornerstone for our company to achieve growth and a bigger market presence. The messaging framework is essential for the company to communicate its value, purpose, and differentiation, to in turn effectively acquire and retain our customer base.

Audience

Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

Enterprise CISOs and security-architecture leaders in $1bn+ revenue / 10,000+ headcount organisations running multi-vendor portfolios. Named buying-committee personas are in Design Thinking. Why they feel a necessity to buy (consultancy pressure, tool sprawl, inventory as a control) is in the Problem Statement.

Why they buy (necessity, not nice-to-have)

Do not sell ESProfiler as another control product — that is more sprawl. Sell the living description of the estate: what is licensed, what it actually does, where it overlaps, how it maps to NIST/ISO/ATT&CK, and which renewals can be killed without opening a gap.

The competitor is a stale spreadsheet plus a consultancy invoice. You cannot pass the review, certify the inventory, or cut spend against a stack you cannot describe. Cite the public numbers and reports on the Problem Statement; do not invent a single "average tool count."

Describing ESProfiler

To ensure consistency in our outward facing communication to prospects and customers, please make sure you're using the below descriptions for ESProfiler depending on the detail that you need to provide:

ESProfiler helps security leaders understand, govern and optimise their security technology estate.

Discover what security capabilities exist organization wide → understand how they’re really being used → reduce risk and waste → govern what gets bought and renewed next, to protect and defend the budget.

ESProfiler helps security leaders understand, govern and optimise their security technology estate. It starts by identifying all tools providing security capability across the organisation, including tools that may sit outside the central security team. It then builds a picture of the ground reality: how those tools are actually being used, by whom, how well they’re implemented, and what users think of them.

That intelligence identifies implementation risks, opportunities to extract more value from existing investments, and areas of overlap where tools can be consolidated to save or reallocate budget.

From there, ESProfiler acts as a front desk for security technology decisions, helping prevent continued tool sprawl and keeping security leaders ahead of renewals. Ahead of a renewal or new purchase, it can automate analysis of current usage, sentiment, implementation quality, overlap with other owned tools, and alternative solutions available in the market.
